We’ve advised local government on Information Assurance and delivered technical solutions for county-wide deployments.
Our consultants have delivered one of the first Public Services Network services, and maintain the impetus into the Health and Social Care Network (HSCN) and beyond.

As a company, we have extensive experience in delivery to HMG clients. This ranges from security operational design, risk management, governance and compliance, including managing NIS regulations.
Through having operated within six departments, including the Cabinet and Home office – many times at senior leadership level.

Professional Services Director
Des Ward
Des has been working in the Information Risk Management industry for over 30 years. His background and skillset ranges from the technical to the non-technical through forensics and pen-testing to risk assessment and corporate governance. He connects technologists and business, facilitating communication to achieve compliance aligned with business goals.
His experience encompasses compliance programmes for HMG and FTSE 100 companies relating to the majority of legislation and regulation. This includes the Telecoms Security Framework (commonly known as the TSA), Health and Social Care Network (HSCN), PSN Codes of Practice, IA Maturity Model, Security Policy Framework, Hannigan Review, Data Protection Act 2018/1998, FSA guidelines, Payment Card Data Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and the ISO 27000 series of standards and guidelines.
Des intends to build on his wide-ranging experience across different vertical industry sectors. In the interest to drive a common understanding where the benefits from effective information risk management can be understood, measured and valued.
More recently, Des has been involved in writing or implementing network compliance frameworks, being the author of the HCSN Compliance Operating Model, co-author and outgoing chair of CAS(T), and heavily involved in the delivery of the PSN compliance approaches.
Des sits as an advisor to NHS Digital on HSCN compliance, and also sits on the BSi RM1/3 e-Committee for risk and governance.

Senior Security Consultant
Richard Peachey
With a career spanning 50 years both within the UK and globally, Richard has been an industry stalwart in telecoms.
Richard has a very strong technical and operational background and his in-depth understanding of communication risk management has been developed over his career in the industry with CSPs, vendors and regulators.
His subject matter expertise and knowledge has been paramount in ensuring CSPs understand and address risk management issues related to fixed and mobile networks, systems, products and services.
His recommendations have been invaluable in detecting risk and security exposure, reducing revenue leakage and fraud, and providing secure client services. More recently he has been instrumental in shaping the UK’s telecom cyber regulations, including the Telecoms Security Act (TSA).
His previous roles involving playing a pivotal role in defining the scope, security measures, and compliance requirements of the TSA. He has a unique understanding of the meanings behind some of the more challenging aspects.
Additionally, Richard has been a key liaison between network providers, government agencies, and GCHQ.
Richard’s ability to explain complex topics to senior management, technical peers and staff comes from a strong technical understanding of communication and risk managment.
